Bennett Engineering Services is providing design of crossing improvements to enhance pedestrian and bicyclist safety at nine locations in the City of Stockton’s Weston Ranch area. Improvements include high visibility crosswalks, pedestrian hybrid beacons, frontage improvements, and flashing beacons. Funding for the project originates from Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant funds. Services by Environmental Science Associates, Y & C Transportation Consultants, and Unico Engineering include environmental services, electrical and signals engineering, and surveying, respectively.

Beacons to Slow Traffic Bennett Engineering Services is assisting the City of Oroville to design flashing beacons that will be added to the Washington Avenue-Montgomery Street intersection roundabout. The beacons will draw driver’s attention to the pedestrian crossings and the need for oncoming traffic to slow to the posted 25-mph speed limit when entering the intersection.

Water Tank, Pump Station Design Bennett Engineering Services is teamed with Gateway Pacific Contractors to design and build a 1.9 MG water tank and pump station. It is located in the City of West Sacramento’s The Rivers area. Bike Lanes and Sidewalks The City of Rancho Cordova has selected Bennett Engineering Services to provide engineering design for the Cordova Park Safe Routes to School project. Pedestrian and bicycle safety will be the focus of engineering design along Coloma Road, Dolecetto Drive, Ellenbrook Drive, and Malaga Way. The project includes new crosswalks, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and ADA-compliant sidewalk ramps. In addition, new striping will define bike lanes. Drainage will be improved. Well and Pipeline Also Included   Bennett Engineering Services is designing a 1.5 MG storage tank, new potable water well, and booster pump station for the City of Biggs. The design will include an irrigation canal pipeline crossing. The firm will also prepare and submit a State Revolving Fund application for project funding. Bennett Engineering Services is designing improvements to the Sunset Boulevard and Springview Drive Intersection. The eastbound left-turn pocket on Sunset Boulevard will be extended to accommodate additional storage and curb ramps will be modified as needed. In addition, the project includes minor drainage and grading improvements. More intersection design projects: Sylvan Road/Stock Ranch Road Intersection Improvements, Del Paso Boulevard Streetscape, and Spicer/Sperry Traffic Circle and Safety Improvements.

The Capital SouthEast Connector Joint Powers Authority has selected Bennett Engineering Services to provide on-call civil engineering services. More as-needed transportation engineering services agreements: Douglas Road Bike Trail Extension.

34-Space Parking Lot Bennett Engineering Services is designing improvements to the City of Isleton’s parking lot at 2nd and E Streets. The project includes new asphalt, striping, ADA-compliant parking, and lighting for the 34-space lot. More parking lot projects: Bridge District Parking Lot, Washington District Parking Lot, and Brentwood Church.

1,600 feet of Pipeline Improvements Bennett Engineering Services is designing improvements, including upsizing and replacement, to more than 16,000 feet of the City of Oroville’s sewer main and trunk pipelines.   Other pipeline projects: Sewer Main and Manhole Repairs in Grass Valley, Collection System Repairs in Newcastle
