Corner Parklet Creates Pedestrian-Friendly Intersection

This project in the City of Citrus Heights made ADA-compliant improvements at an intersection, added a small parklet with bench, rehabilitated the pavement, installed wooden safety guardrail in the median, and constructed new curb ramps, bus stop, and new sidewalk. 

During the final design phase, it was determined that proposed improvements would impact existing right-of-way. The team worked with the City to develop creative solutions that would maintain the goals of the project without requiring property acquisition.
