Roseville Sewer Lift Station Decommissioning

Chemical System and Diesel Generator Removal and Site Preparation for Five Lift Stations

As a result of the construction of the Pleasant Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant and 72-inch sewer transmission main, five sewer lift stations in the Roseville collection and transmission system were no longer required.

Bennett Engineering Services provided engineering services for the decommissioning of the lift stations. The team provided a summary of options, value estimates, and prepared a decommissioning report for the City. Upon report approval, plans and specifications were prepared to abandon the lift stations, remove equipment, fill the wet wells, and ready each site for use by the City for other purposes.

Decommissioning included removal and disposal of chemical storage tanks, chemical feed systems, and diesel generators and fuel tanks; recycling of materials; and sale of surplus equipment.
