Water Transmission Pipeline with Pressure Reducing Valve and Flow Meter Stations
Bennett Engineering Services designed an approximately two-mile water transmission pipeline consisting of 24-inch and 36-inch pipe. The design also included one pressure reducing valve (PRV). In addition, the team designed two flow meter stations to monitor flows to and from adjacent water agencies.
The team coordinated with numerous utility purveyors and public agencies to ensure the project’s success. Easement and land acquisition services were also provided. Project challenges included bore and jack construction under an environmentally sensitive area and a bridge crossing.
